Cathy is a warm, approachable teacher who enjoys helping students of all ages find the song in their hearts.

She holds an ARCT degree in voice performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, an honours Bachelor of Arts in French Literature from Glendon College, a Bachelor of Education from the University of Western Ontario, a Masters of Arts in music from York University and a PhD (ABD) in music from York University. Cathy is an expressive mezzo-soprano who studied with Catherine Robbin and sang in ensembles with Stuart Beaudoin.

Cathy taught French Immersion and Music in elementary schools for more than 20 years, and worked as a school administrator in Ontario before moving to P.E.I. in 2022. She taught voice for over 20 years as an associate of the Royal Conservatory where her students consistently achieved a high degree of success with examinations, recitals, festivals and university auditions. Cathy also works with private clients to help manage performance anxiety and other mental health-related issues and is currently pursuing her Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She taught Music and French Immersion with the P.E.I. Public Schools Branch and is excited to re-establish her private voice studio in Summerside.

Cathy loves to sing, and loves to work with singers to help them develop their instrument.
